The 24 Group

The 24 Group is an independent, nonprofit that was founded in 2006 by a group of parents who met while one of their loved ones was in treatment for substance abuse. The choices that our loved ones made with regard to drug use placed them and us on a journey that no parent ever seeks; this journey is the common thread that binds us together.

THE 24 GROUP NEWS: Thank You!! to all the teams and parents and friends and family members who attended The 7th Annual O.Y.O. David Manlove Baseball tournament. Your attendance was what makes this such a great event year after year. Thanks also to the Oaklandon Youth Organization and all the volunteers who made the event a reality again this year. A very special thanks to all who made donations to The 24 Group, a non profit foundation dedicated to helping young people and their families affected by the disease of addiction. The 24 Group is now over two years old. We continue to expand our fund raising efforts, and work in the areas of public awareness, family education, and advocacy for those affected by addiction. Treatment of addiction is effective, and affected individuals who continue in treatment have a good chance of staying clean and sober. Life in recovery is attainable. We need your help this year, please consider attending one of our events in 2008, and donating to this very important cause.
